Technical FAQs
At 100–120 km/h on a Bullet or KTM Duke, will my pillion / group hear me clearly through wind noise?
Up to ~110 km/h, voice stays clear thanks to the dual-mic array + CVC noise reduction. Above 120 km/h, audio compresses slightly but stays understandable. Critical: use the boom mic's foam windshield on modular/open-face helmets — without it, wind kills the audio.
I have a Bluetooth-integrated helmet (LS2 / HJC). Will the Q8 conflict with it?
You can't run both at the same time — they fight for the same Bluetooth channels. Best fix: remove the helmet's built-in module and use only the Q8. Q8's dual-mic + CVC noise reduction outperforms most factory-integrated systems anyway.
Box says 17 hours talk time. Is that for mesh too?
No. 17 hours is Bluetooth intercom talk time. Mesh intercom gives up to 9 hours (official EJEAS spec). Running music and GPS together, and cold weather, reduce it further. Charge fully the night before any long ride.
Can I run music, Google Maps, calls, and intercom all at once?
Yes. The Q8 layers them by priority — phone calls pause music, intercom voice ducks music, GPS interrupts briefly. You won't lose any input.
How do I add a friend's Q8 to my mesh group mid-ride without stopping?
Both riders single-tap the mesh button at the same time — connects in 3–5 seconds. No phone, no app, no stopping required.
If one rider in my mesh group falls behind or goes out of range, does the whole group disconnect?
No — Q8 mesh is self-healing. The other riders stay connected, and the dropped rider auto-rejoins the moment they come back in range. No manual re-pairing needed.
